Rhea Seehorn must save the world of kindness: Pluribus trailer
The new concept series from the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul is coming to Apple TV+ very soon.
After weeks of nebulous promo and brief teasers, Vince Gilligan’s mysterious new creation has finally revealed a real trailer. What better way to understand the concept of Pluribus, THE series that we are likely to talk about a lot in the coming months.
Rhea Seehorn, revealed by Gilligan in Better Call Saul, plays Carol Sturka, a historical novel author at the end of her rope faced with a surreal situation. Everyone on Earth is strangely kind and caring. Except her. Obviously there is something wrong…
“The most unhappy person in the world is the only one capable of saving humanity… from happiness,” describes the short synopsis of Pluribus. And we understand by watching the trailer that the heroine is facing a major conspiracy of unknown origin, an “entity” that wants to bring her into line: “Don’t worry, Carol, we’re going to find out what sets you apart.”
Alongside Seehorn, we find Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete) and Carlos Manuel Vesga (The Hijacking of Flight 601), with guests Miriam Shor (American Fiction) and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death).
The first two of nine episodes of Pluribus will arrive on November 7 on Apple TV+, then broadcasting will continue at the rate of one episode per week until December 26. To find out more, you can find our interview with Vince Gilligan in the new issue of Première, available on newsstands.
