Robert Pattinson and Zendaya’s A24 romantic comedy has a release date

The two stars are reunited in The Drama, the new film from the director of Dream Scenario.

It’s difficult to make a more glamorous duo for a romantic comedy!

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson will share the poster of The Dramaa very exciting new rom’com, by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario), for the popular indie studio, A24.

Filmed at the end of 2024, The Drama finally has a release date: it will be April 3, 2026 in American theaters (the French date is not yet known) and will offer another proposition than Illumination’s animated blockbuster, Super Mario Galaxywhich will arrive in cinemas the same day.

The pitch remains secret, but according to Variety, The Drama tellis “the story of a couple whose romance encounters unexpected obstacles as the big day approaches.” On sale for Mickey 17Robert Pattinson spoke to us about the film last February, in this case about a scene that left him in knots:

“I just made a film with Zendaya, we had a scene together in it that drove me crazy, I was desperately searching for the meaning of it, to the point of writing pages and pages of text explanations… I ended up calling Zendaya the day before filming the scene in question. I told her my doubts, I talked for two hours, and blah blah blah, and after a while, very calmly, she ended up making me understand that the line just said what she wanted to say, that there was no hidden meaning. And I’ve been going crazy for three days… I tend to bang my head against the walls. Sometimes for no reason.“

Around the star duo, we will find Alana Haim, the actress of Paul Thomas Anderson (Licorice Pizza), but also Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates.

Produced by Ari Aster, the film will mark Borgli’s return to A24, after the critical success of Dream Scenario (and Nicolas Cage’s nomination for the Golden Globes).

We can note that Zendaya and Robert Pattinson will also be reunited just after in The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan (released July 17, 2026). But not sure that they will share scenes together in the enormous epic…
