Stanley Tucci at the helm of Prime Video’s first Franco-Italian film

He will star alongside Frenchman Victor Belmondo in Masterplan.

Prime Video announcement Master planits very first original film co-produced between France and Italy, in partnership with Gaumont and Amazon MGM Studios.

Filming begins this week between France and Italy, under the direction of French director Thomas Vincent (Reacher, Bodyguard, Versailles), also co-authored the screenplay with BAFTA winner David Wolstencroft (Spooks, The Escape Artist).

The pitch? “When a legendary thief sets his sights on the Mona Lisa, he recruits two young strangers to help him — Chiara, a brilliant Italian cybercrime expert, and Jay, a French explosives specialist with an oversized ego — before revealing to them that they are brother and sister… and that he is their father. Thrust into a chaotic family reunion they didn’t ask for, this new family must learn to work together — and try not to kill each other — if she wants to have a chance of pulling off the heist of the century.

The film, shot in English, stars Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada, Lovely Bones, Hunger Games), accompanied by Simona Tabasco (The White Lotusseason 2) and Victor Belmondo (Stronghold 36).

Master plan will be available exclusively on Prime Video. No release date yet.
