James Gunn's film Superman will not be too long

Superman’s controversial plan was finally cut off from the final assembly

James Gunn makes his mea culpa: “I did not like this plan, so he does not even appear in the film.”

The power of the networks was right for Superman!

The boss of DC Studios, James Gunnconfirmed that the famous scene from a trailer of Superman (see photo above), mocked and criticized by fans on social networks, will not appear in the final editing of his film.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly,, James Gunn was questioned about this visible level in a TV spot that showed David Corenswetthe new Superman, in a CGI flight deemed awkward, almost ridiculous. Gunn wanted to reassure the spectators:

“No, it was not really a finished scene. It was a plan for a TV advertisement, not a finalized visual effect. David’s face was a photo, stuck on a drone that stole in front of a real decor. All the elements were real, but combined in a somewhat wobbly way. I did not like this plan, so it does not even appear in the film.”

The director admits in stride sometimes less rigor in the verification of TV spots than for real trailers : “I sometimes review everything by plan by plan, but sometimes, for ads, I forget to look right … This plan escaped me.“”

Mea culpa. See you on July 9 to see Superman fly as it should be in France.
