The creators of Stranger Things leave Netflix!

Before the release of season 5 Final, Matt and Ross Duffer are going to make films of “large scale” at Paramount’s.

The duo therefore leaves Netflix to join the studio as part of a four -year contract covering cinema, television and streaming. The agreement, which will start in April 2026 at the end of their current commitment, will focus on “ambitious” and “large -scale” projects for the big screen. All their future contents will be developed via their Upside Down Pictures, led by the Duffer brothers and their production partner Hilary Leavitt.

Do not panic for fans of Eleven and the Upso Down: the Duffer remains involved at Netflix until the end of their contract. This means that they will deliver season 5 – and ultimate – from Stranger Things, while supervising other projects already announced like Something Very Bad is Going to Happen and The Boroughs.
