Thirty years later, the Cult Slasher from 1997 therefore returns for a new part, with young and fresh victims, around the Star Netflix of OUTER BANKS.
To get out of it, they will call on two survivors of the Southport massacre of the time: Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.) which make a cheerful come back in the official trailer that Sony Pictures has just unveiled.
“Visually, I wanted to come back to my biggest mark for this film: the teeth of the sea. I wanted vibrant colors, a sublime decor, blue water, red blood. For me, it’s a retro tribute, with this touch of nostalgia that I hope refreshing” says the director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has Entertainment Weekly.
The official synopsis details history: “Five friends accidentally cause a drama on the road. Rather than facing the consequences, they choose to hide the truth and seal a pact of silence. A year later, the past resurfaces … Someone knows what they did last summer. And he’s ready to do anything to take revenge. One by one, friends fall into terror and realize that they are not the first to live this story. Their only hope? The survivors of the infamous massacre of 1997. “
This new chapter intends to mix bloody nostalgia and chills generation Z.
