David Leitch takes charge of the adaptation of Gears of War for Netflix.

After having sold 45 million copies of its various installments, Gears of War will become a film. And it is David Leitch which should realize it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter The filmmaker is currently in negotiations to direct the adaptation of the video game. David Leitch is known for having recently achieved The Fall Guy (2024), co-directed John Wick (2014) with Chad Stahelski and also signed the films Bullet trainwith Brad Pitt, but also the spin-off of Fast & Furious, Hobbs & Shawas well as Deadpool 2 Or Blonde atomic on Netflix.

John Spaihts – who co-wrote the last two films Dune – is currently responsible for writing the script.
