So here is a very A24 teaser for Bring Her Backwho seems to speak of kidnapping, confinement, spiritualism, Satanism … The official synopsis is very thin, anyway: a sister and a brother discover that the house of their host family will be the place of a terrifying ritual.
Bring Her Backwhich comes out in theaters this summer, is the new film of the brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, directors of the sympathetic The hand (2023) where teenagers played with a carved and cursed hand which swung them curses to which better. The hand reported more than $ 90 million for a ridiculous budget (less than 5 million), becoming the biggest horror hit in the A24 studio. Did the Philippou managed to escape Hand 2 ?
Not so sure, since in VO, The hand was called Talk to meand as their new film is called Bring Her Backeven the English LV3 could suggest that the two films are connected … at least grammatically. Bring Her Back he hides Talk to me 2 ? Especially that A24 has already announced that the Philippou have been working since August 2023 on Talk 2 me (yes, that’s the title), with their screenwriter Bill Hinzman (also credited on Bring Her Back), anything is possible.
