The Electric State: the completely insane trailer for the Netflix film
The directors of Avengers: Endgame unveil a robotic science fiction film of total excess. It feels like it.
It will be one of the cinema events of 2025, and it will be on Netflix. The Russos, directors of‘Avengers: Endgamewill immerse us in an absolutely crazy retrofuturistic world in The Electric Statea very big budget science fiction film, which is not going to do anything by half measures, judging by this first trailer: giant robots, spectacular action and breathtaking special effects, the blockbuster promises to to impress.
Two years later The Gray Manwhere they brought together Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, Joe and Anthony Russo bring together yet another exciting new duo on screen: Millie Bobby Brown And Chris Pratt. The star of Stranger Things and that of Guardians of the Galaxy will explore a crazy world, populated by delusional robots, in search of free will, as revealed in these first official photos, posted by Netflix.
The story takes place in an alternate, retro-futuristic version of the 1990s.”Michelle, an orphaned teenager, lives in a society where sentient robots resemble cartoon characters and mascots. They once served humans peacefully. But these robotos now live in exile after the failure of an uprising. Michelle’s life is turned upside down one evening when she receives a visit from Cosmo, a gentle and mysterious robot who seems to be controlled by Christopher, Michelle’s genius younger brother whom she thought was dead. Determined to find the beloved brother she thought she had lost, Michelle sets out across the American Southwest with Cosmo, and soon finds herself reluctantly teaming up with Keats, a smuggler and his prankster robot sidekick…”
In the rest of the cast, we will also find Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci and Woody Norman. And then Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate and Alan Tudyk will lend their voices to the robots.
Based on the comics by Simon Stålenhag, the screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The Electric State will be released in 2025 on Netfix.
