The end of Good Omens reveals its trailer in Paradise
The biblical Prime Video series will end with a season 3 shortened to just one episode.
After three years of waiting, Amazon is preparing to say goodbye to Good Omens.
It’s the end for Aziraphale and Crowley. Prime Video has revealed the first trailer for season 3, which isn’t really one. The series will conclude with a TV movie, a special 90-minute episode, produced in a certain chaos behind the scenes, following the media storm of 2024 around Neil Gaiman.
The writer, in the oven and the mill of this adaptation, was forced to withdraw after a series of accusations of sexual harassment, while the production was initially planning on a real season 3. Without its screenwriter-producer who had written everything up until then, it was necessary to rethink the plans.
It’s hard not to see in this trailer a project that ends in pain. But Prime Video still aims to properly close the Good Omens chapter, even if this conclusion takes on the air of a last stand.
In this finale, as Heaven prepares to announce the return of Christ to Earth, the angel-demon duo formed by Michael Sheen and David Tennant – Aziraphale and Crowley – will have to join forces one last time to try to save humanity from an imminent apocalypse… and, incidentally, get their hands on Jesus (Bilal Hasna), mysteriously lost in the twists and turns of a celestial bureaucracy that is still just as dysfunctional.
This final season 3 of Good Omens, in 1 episode, will be released on May 13 on Prime Video.
