After Love is Overrated, Mourad Winter unveils A Family of Bastards
His new film with Hakim Jemili, Laura Felpin and Benjamin Tranié, will be released on Prime Video.
Almost 500,000 theatrical admissions, excellent reviews and a Special Jury Prize at the Alpe d’Huez festival: Mourad Winter made a spectacular debut in 2025 with his first film, Love is overrated.
A year later, he returns with his second feature film, A Family of Bastardsa crazy comedy which will not be released in theaters but directly on Prime Video. We will find the same trio: Hakim Jemili, Laura Felpin and Benjamin Tranié, this time surrounded by Florence Foresti and Kad Merad.
The pitch takes us to Paname, in 1997.
“Following a shooting that left his father for dead, Mohamed (Hakim Jemili) learns that the latter, visibly fond of the pleasures of the flesh, was hiding Maurice (Benjamin Tranié) and Morgane (Laura Felpin), two hitherto unknown brothers and sisters with strong characters. Worse, the event forces Mohamed to cohabit with his new brothers and thus take care of “Chez Momo”, a mecca of vice Parisian, who brews as much foam as shenanigans and priced love Although advised by Djilali (Kad Merad), immemorial pillar of the bar, and Sylvie (Florence Foresti), historic manager who knows the house like the back of her hand, the trio will have to try everything to save the bistro, in debt up to its neck… without being fleeced by the local underworld. Between scams, slot machines and sibling crises, they will discover together that the. blood ties, it stains, and it’s hard to remove.”
A Family of Bastards will be available on June 12, 2026 on Prime Video in France.
