The Ghostbusters face a monster on the new poster for Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace

New York is getting cold… So who do we call?

It’s a poster that says a lot. Sony Pictures has just revealed the official poster for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empirewhich will be called in French Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace. A chilling image, which reveals a New York frozen with fear! In a city paralyzed by the cold, the new troop of ghost hunters led by Carrie Coon And McKenna Grace (daughter and granddaughter of the late Spengler) will have to face a terrible creature from hell. In the background, we discover a sort of God who directs it and who also commands the specters which hover above the Hudson. Fortunately, the new Ghostbusters will not be alone. They will be able to count on the elders, whose shadows can be seen at their side, around the famous Ecto-1.

“The Spengler family returns to where it all began: the iconic fire station, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research lab to take ghosts to the next level“, announces the official synopsis. “But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second ice age.“

Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace will be the continuation of Ghostbusters: Legacy, released in 2021 and which grossed more than $200 million at the box office. This means that Carrie Coon, McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard And Paul Rudd will return to the cast, in the shoes of new heroes equipped with “Proton Packs”. In addition, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudsonand even Sigourney Weaver And Annie Potts should be present in secondary roles.

Directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Reitman, Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace should be released on April 3, 2024 in cinemas in France.
