The Harry Potter series is already revealing its behind the scenes on HBO Max: trailer

“Finding Harry” will be a special documentary that will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of HBO’s Harry Potter television series.

Well before its highly anticipated launch at the end of the year, at Christmas time, the HBO Max version of the Harry Potter series continues to reveal itself.

After the first official trailer, the platform has just announced the posting online of a making-of, Finding Harry, an event documentary which will take fans behind the scenes of this new adaptation. It will be broadcast on Sunday (April 5) on HBO Max and we can see the trailer (below).

A special program that promises total immersion in the making of the series. And suffice to say that the ambition is immense. Finding Harry looks back on the 25-year legacy of the saga imagined by JK Rowling, while showing how a new generation of craftsmen, technicians and creators are tackling this cult universe. Casting, sets, costumes, special effects… everything is there, with a particular focus on the search for the new interpreters of Harry, Ron and Hermione.

The documentary also gives a first concrete glimpse of the series itself. We can see in particular the legendary entrance of the students into the great hall of Hogwarts, proof that this adaptation intends to recreate the magic of the books on a large scale.

On the casting side, several names have already been confirmed, including John Lithgow, Janet McTeer and Paapa Essiedu. The whole thing is narrated by Nick Frost, who accompanies this dive behind the scenes of a project as colossal as it is scrutinized.

Obviously, Warner Bros. intends to ride the magic throughout 2026…
