Neon has just acquired world rights to Steven Soderbergh’s new film. It will be called The Christophersand the theatrical release is officially scheduled for 2026 (without further details for the moment).

The film has already been presented at the Toronto Film Festival. Obviously, the director, known for Ocean’s 11, Contagion, Erin Brockovich, Traffic or even Sex, lies and videofinds here the taste of original and acid drama.

The Christophers brings together an interesting cast with Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, Jessica Gunning and James Corden. McKellen plays Julian Sklar, an aging painter who has been ruined and inactive for decades. His two estranged children (Corden and Gunning), eager to receive their inheritance, decide to hire a forger (Coel) to complete an unfinished work from his past.
