Birdie or Bogey for Amazon MGM? The studio works on a film devoted to Tiger Woods. A biopic carried and produced by Barack and Michelle Obama (via their company Higher Ground).
This project, inspired by the book The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played From Kevin Cook, will plunge into the meteoric ascent of the golf prodigy that has become a legend.
It is Reinaldo Marcus Greenthe director of The Williams methodthe biopic devoted to youth Venus and Serena, who will take care of the staging.

The film, faithful to the title of the book, should focus on Woods’ feat during its incredible “Tiger Slam”, a performance in which it won four major consecutive tournaments. A real master stroke. After having become professional at only 20 years in 1996, Tiger Woods Quickly made its place among the golf giants, accumulating 15 major champion titles and 82 victories on the PGA Tour, a record that guarantees it to the pantheon of the greatest golfers of all time.
The biopic will only focus on the legend and will abandon the controversies that have marred the second part of his career. His life outside the Greens will not be tackled in the film. In 2009, Woods had fallen into disgrace after many extramarital adventures were revealed in broad daylight. This scandal led to the end of many sponsorship contracts. Sombing in an infernal spiral, Tiger Woods was arrested in 2017 for drunkenness and, in 2021, he survived a serious car accident, before returning and winning a new major 2019 tournament.
The film has no official date yet, but could be released in 2026 on Prime Video.
