The White Lotus season 4: the series heads to the Cannes Film Festival

Mike White shoots on the Croisette, but also in Saint-Tropez, Monaco and even Paris.

This time it’s official. HBO has confirmed that filming for season 4 of The White Lotus has begun, and that the plot will largely take place on the Côte d’Azur. According to the official synopsis, we will follow “a new group of clients and employees of the White Lotus hotel for a week, on the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival.”

There will be several emblematic hotels on the Riviera, including the Château de la Messardière which will become the White Lotus du Cap for the occasion, while the famous Hôtel Martinez will embody the White Lotus Cannes. Filming also extends to Saint-Tropez, Monaco and Paris.

According to Variety, the production must be present in Cannes throughout the duration of the festival, while the actors are expected during a few days of the second week, with an appearance planned on the red carpet.

The casting brings together a dense international cast. Announced are Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Added to this list are Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet.

For the moment, no broadcast date announced for The White Lotus season 4, but we can reasonably bet on late 2026 or early 2027.
