There will be no Predator against Aliens in the Alien: Earth series
Almost 20 years after Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the two species are not about to cross paths again.
They will not enter the streaming ring together.
The war of Aliens against the Predators will not take place on Disney Plus. Noah Hawley, creator of the Alien: Earth series, will be disappointed. Predator in season 2? It’s no.
A guest on the SmartLess podcast, Hawley was asked about the possibility of a crossover:
“No, not in the show, I don’t think.”
He then praised the work of Dan Trachtenberg who relaunched the Predators with Prey and then Badlands, but he clarified that they do not coordinate on absolutely anything: each is moving forward on their own franchise.
“I think Dan Trachtenberg, who directed Prey and did the Badlands movie, did a great job. I love Prey. I think he’s doing a great job with this franchise. He clearly has a plan. I’ve only met Dan once, we don’t coordinate on anything together. So it’s not really in my plans to take on this.”
For years, fans of Alien and Predator have been hoping for a new crossover between the two franchises — the last official showdowns date back to Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem in 2007.
The release date for season 2 of Alien: Earth has not yet been announced.
