Tokyo Vice: first images and a date for season 2
Ansel Elgort is back in the shoes of Jake Adelstein, this American journalist working in the biggest daily newspaper in Tokyo.
Almost two years after its very successful first season, Tokyo Vice will make his return. Season 2, filmed this summer, has a release date. It will be seen on Max in February 2024 and immediately in France on Canal +.
Along the way, we discover previously unseen images of the return ofAnsel Elgort in the role of Jake Adelstein, this American journalist working in the biggest daily newspaper in Tokyo and tracking down the local mafia (via EW).
By the time Season 2 begins, Samantha will have opened her club, while Adelstein continues to hone his reporting skills and delve deeper into Tokyo’s criminal economy. “One of the driving forces behind the show is seeing what happens when you’re young, ambitious and incredibly talented, when you start getting what you wanted! The crown is heavy to carry…” explains the showrunner, who confides that the characters will be “back against the wall” and will have crucial decisions to make.
Alongside Elgort, the cast includes Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Ella Rumpf, Hideaki Ito, Show Kasamatsu and Tomohisa Yamashita.
