Tom Holland regrets promoting ‘shit films’
But which feature films is he talking about? Chaos Walking? Uncharted? Cherry?
After throwing up on the latest episode of Hot Ones, Tom Holland took part in another famous YouTube pop and cooking show, but much more comfortable, The Dish. One more step in a grueling promotional summer for the actor who plays Telemachus, the son of Ulysses, in The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan, and returns to the Marvel universe with Spider-Man: Brand New Daywhich is released in cinemas this Wednesday in France.
The 30-year-old star assures that he has a lot of fun, despite the hectic pace of red carpets and interviews, simply because he defends films of which he is really proud.
“I really love it. When you’re doing press for films that you’re really proud of, it’s really easy. Because when people ask you why people should go see this movie, you’re not lying to anyone. You honestly think people should go see it. I have had experiences in the past where I was asked this question. And deep down I said to myself: no, you shouldn’t go see him, it’s shit.“
But what films is Tom Holland talking about? On the networks, fans quote pell-mell Chaos Walking (the sci-fi film by Doug Liman with Daisy Ridley), Cherry of the Russo brothers (released directly on Apple TV in 2021) or even Unchartedthe adaptation of the famous video game. Unless it is the Journey of Doctor Dolittlewith Robert Downey Jr., where he overtakes a dog?
This year in any case, he can enjoy it. The Odyssey received excellent critical feedback, and the public largely followed (Nolan’s film broke box office records). The new Spider-Man is also promised to be a big hit in theaters, it should even have the best start of the year (ahead of Toy Story 5) according to the latest estimates.

After this intense promo, Tom Holland will return to training to prepare his next project, the biopic of Fred Astaire for which he wants to talk about his dancing talents, as he declared a few days ago to Good Morning America :
“I want to do all the choreography myself, without stunt doubles, and shoot it in one shot, like Fred Astaire did.”
