True Detective: finally, season 4 with Jodie Foster will not be broadcast before 2024
The HBO Max platform has discreetly postponed the release date of season 4, initially scheduled for 2023.
Sad news for fans of detective series, the highly anticipated next season of True Detective won’t be released until 2024 (via Allocinated).
The first trailer revealed to us Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as cop duo in Alaska during winter. All the promotion of this new season named True Detective: Night Countryhighlighted the particularity of winter in Alaska, where it is dark 24 hours a day for a certain period. In this chilling new story, the two women investigate the disappearance of eight men managing an Arctic station.
The platform first added an extract from this fourth season to a trailer for its 2023 release program, before indicating on its site that it will finally be available in 2024.
Should you watch season 3 of True Detective? (critical)
The series was a great success from its first season, in 2014, which featured the duo Matthew McConaughey/Woody Harrelson during an investigation against a backdrop of mysticism in Louisiana. Each new season, a new location, a new investigation and a new duo of investigators: Colin Farrell/Rachel McAdams in Los Angeles in season 2 and Mahershala Ali/Stephen Dorff in Arkansas in season 3.
The creator of the series Nick Pizzolatto, who wrote or co-wrote every episode of the first three seasons, will only serve as executive producer on the last. A little more patience before going to Alaska…
