What’s new to discover on Disney+ in January 2024?

The streaming platform is filling its catalog with bold series and docus for the new year.

While First invites you to end the year with a special series 100 years of Disney (and even more precisely devoted to “hidden treasures” from the studio), Disney+ has just announced the list of films and series that will be added to the catalog in a few days.

She plans to start the new year off on the right foot. The month of January 2024 should honor the expectations of its subscribers thanks to an anthology of series and documentaries promising to beautify its interface.

Echo : January 10 on Disney+

The new Marvel series highlights the origins of the character of Maya Lopez (discovered in Hawkeye), haunted by her demons, she will have to face the repercussions caused by her behavior in New York. With Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire on her trail, Maya will have to reconnect with her Native American roots to stop the threat. At the casting, Alaqua Cox, Chase Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon), Vincent d’Onofrio and others.

The Fox: Prince of Thieves will be available from January 17 exclusively on Disney+:

The Australian series is a bold sequel toOliver Twist of Charles Dickens. The plot addresses the double life of “gentleman burglar” who became an adult in Australia in the 1850s. Jack Dawkins (aka the Fox) retired from his career as a pickpocket to become a surgeon, but that’s without counting on the presence of a character who will make him return to his across. Added to the equation is the disturbing presence of Lady Belle, who ultimately proves to embody the most worrying threat to the Fox’s heart.

Cristobal Balenciagaavailable exclusively on January 19 on Disney+ :

The new original series is inspired by the life of the couturier and his work, which has become a reference in the fashion world. It is Alberto San Juan who slips into the haute-couture suit of Cristóbal Balenciaga, this mysterious man with extraordinary talent. The series begins the designer’s journey in 1937 in Paris, when he presented his first collection. Cristóbal Balenciaga knew how to break the codes of right-thinking of an era by revolutionizing the world of fashion.

Dolapo is Fine, a British short film available from January 12 on Disney+:

Dolápò is a young girl, about to leave the British boarding school in which she finds herself. The latter is forced to swap her afro cut for a haircut that is more “conventional”. On top of that, his name must also be changed to give him every chance in his quest for employment. Wearing this wig pushes Dolápò to question his origins and his own identity. Dolápò is Fine is made by Ethosheia Hyltonwith Doyin Ajiboye, Luke Gasper And Joan Iyiola.

Added to these projects are animated series, Ishura (available January 3) and Synduality Blackpart 2 (January 8) as well as the second part of the nineteenth season ofAmerican Dadproduced by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker And Matt Weitzman. The iconic oddity invented by Ryan Murphy resurfaces in American Horror Stories (derived fromAmerican Horror Story) – season 3 will be available January 10.
