Bo Bragason and Evan Ainsworth will step into the shoes of the Princess and Link.
Hyrule has never seemed closer!
The first images of the film Zelda in live-action – who will be called (in original version) Legend of Zelda – produced by Nintendo and Sony, have just dropped and they are already making fans’ hearts beat faster.
Posted online this Monday on the Nintendo Today application, the photos put into action the two stars who will have the difficult task of giving substance to the legendary characters of the video game saga: the young Bo Bragason, revealed in the British series Three Girls And The Jeffy and recently seen in Rebel Nellteen fantasy epic on Disney +, will play Princess Zelda.
Facing her, we will see the British Benjamin Evan Ainsworth in the skin of the legendary Link. The 17-year-old actor voiced Pinocchio in the film by Robert Zemeckis (2022) and was one of the revelations of the horror series The Haunting of Bly Manorbefore going to Disney + in the film Flora & Ulysses and more recently in the teen horror film All Fun and Games.
The two young actors pose in a green plain, impeccable costumes, bows and sword in hand, Hylian ears clearly visible: yes, Hyrule is finally taking shape in the real world.
Shigeru Miyamoto, legendary producer and creator of the saga, had already made the acting duo official this summer: “I can’t wait to see them on the big screen.” he wrote then.
At the helm of the film currently being filmed, we find Wes Ball, the director of the saga The Labyrinth and more recently the blockbuster Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom (2024).
The movie Zelda is expected in theaters on May 7, 2027.
