Presented at the Toronto Festival, Arnaud Desplechin’s new film arrives at the cinema next month.

After Spectators!his ode to the cinema presented in Cannes last year, Arnaud Desplechin returns to the drama for his 16th feature film, Two pianos. A dark and complex romance, flirting with the fantastic and taking place in the world of classical music. It stages François Civil and Nadia Tereszkiewicz in the main roles.

Synopsis: Mathias Vogler returns to France after a long exile. The mentor of his youth, Elena, wants him to give a series of concerts to the piano by his side to the Lyon auditorium. But from his return, a meeting with a child who looks like him like two drops of water, his double, plunges Mathias into a frenzy who threatens to sink him, and will lead him to Claude: his love of youth.

Charlotte Rampling embodies Elena, the pianist who formed François Civil, and Hippolyte Girardot is Max, her agent, very protective. Alba Gaïa Bellugi, Anne Kessler, Jeremy Lewin, Marianne Pommier and the young Valentin Picard complete the cast.

After his visit to the San Sébastien festival, François Civil and Nadia Tereszkiewicz presented Two pianos In Toronto, out of competition, with Arnaud Desplechin. The film will be released in the cinema on October 15.
