Elusive 3 – One Grand Tour Too Much (review)

Elusive 3 takes over the French box office

The thieving magicians take the lead in the rankings, with a nice first week. But French films more than resist.

They have more than one trick up their sleeve.

For the third part of their adventures, Jesse Eisenberg’s Horsemen take control of the French box office.

Elusive 3 enjoyed an impressive first week with almost 500,000 admissions (AVP included) in some 607 theaters. Pretty but not quite magical: a far cry from the performances of the previous sections, which began with over 900,000 spectators (the first had accumulated 3 million admissions in France, the second more than 2 million upon arrival).

Despite everything, Elusive 3 is shaping up to be a fall success. Just like French comedy You haven’t changed. Jérôme Commandeur’s buddy film still attracts almost 155,000 curious people in 549 theaters for its second week and exceeds 500,000 cumulative spectators.

A treasure that The richest woman in the world has already amassed: Isabelle Huppert continues to collect with 150,000 more admissions in 751 theaters and a good evolution (-21%), which allows the film to total 720,000 spectators after three weeks.

Same observation for The Stranger : More than 130,000 new admissions in 648 theaters and attendance which is holding steady (-13%) in the third week: François Ozon’s film adapted from Albert Camus has already been seen by nearly 600,000 people.

Let us also note the good start of The Good Starby Pascal Elbé, which attracted almost 150,000 curious people in 503 rooms (including AVP) for its first week.

French cinema is in good shape and the one who is paying the price is Predator. Badlands already patina. With 120,000 admissions in 398 theaters, in the second week, the Disney blockbuster is already collapsing and has fewer than 400,000 spectators for the moment.

Finally, let us point out that Kaamelott – Second part (Part 1) is already idling. After four weeks, Alexandre Astier’s film still hasn’t passed the million mark and will end up far from the 2.2 million of the first part.
