Arcane: the three dates of the final season revealed

Another Emmy for Bryan Cranston, another raid for the French series Arcane

The Emmy Awards 2025 started this weekend. While waiting for the great ceremony, next Sunday, a hundred prizes have been awarded in advance. Including 4 for the French behind Arcane.

He had long been snubbed by the Emmys, at the time of Malcolm (three nominations between 2002 and 2005, no victory). But Bryan Cranston has greatly caught up since.

At 69, the actor has just won his 7th Emmy Award, for his role as a delirious Hollywood boss in The Studio, where he replied to Seth Rogen. This is his 5th personal trophy – after the four crowns in best actor for Breaking Bad. The actor is no longer very far from the absolute record held by Ed Asner, who won 7 Emmy Awards interpretation between the 1970s and 1980s (thanks to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Racines and Lou Grant).

While waiting to equal the legend, Cranston enjoyed his victory this weekend during the Creative Arts Emmys, organized at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Because Saturday and Sunday evening was held the pre-evening of the Emmy Awards, pending the great ceremony which will take place on Saturday September 13. These Creative Arts Emmys essentially make it possible to award technical prices or for secondary appearances. Thus, a hundred (!) Trophies were distributed this weekend.

And Cocorico: the French animation series Arcane again shone in Hollywood. Already crowned in 2022, Fortiche production has imposed itself in the best animation series category in front of Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons and Love, Death + Robots. She won 4 prizes in all.

But the big winner of the evening is therefore The Studio, which already offers 9 Emmy Awards and is ahead of the Penguin (8) or Severance (6). The two darling series of the year, namely The Pitt and Adolescence, won 2 Emmys.

Among the personalities rewarded, we can quote – in addition to Cranston – the victories of Julianne Nicholson (for Hacks), Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt), Merritt Wever (Severance) or Julie Andrews (Bridgerton), as well as the former president Barrack Obama who leaves the prize for the best narrator. It’s third Emmy Award to put on the fireplace alongside its Nobel Peace Prize …
