Ariana Grande arrives in the trailer for My Stepfather, My Stepdaughter and Me
Robert de Niro and Ben Stiller have a new playmate.
We no longer believed it, but 16 years after the film series My father-in-law is indeed back in service. Robert de Niro and Ben Stiller are back in this fourth part entitled My father-in-law, my daughter-in-law and I (Focker In-Law in VO)with a strong reinforcement, the pop star and actress Ariana Grande, nominated last year for the Oscars for her role in Wicked.
Ariana Grande is the new addition to the saga, playing the role of Olivia, the girlfriend of Henry Focker (now played by Skyler Gisondo who replaces Colin Baiocchi), the son of Greg (Ben Stiller). She quickly integrates into the family despite the legendary distrust of Jack (Robert de Niro), and even steals the spotlight from Greg.
When Olivia reveals that she is a former FBI hostage negotiator, it’s up to Greg to take on the role of suspicious patriarch. What if his secret goal was to manipulate the Fockers? Their rivalry will create a new dynamic which will visibly be the driving force of the film.
After Jay Roach on the first two films, and Paul Weitz on the third, it is John Hamburg, the screenwriter of the saga, who takes on the director’s hat on My Stepfather, My Stepdaughter and Me. The film will be released in theaters on November 25, 2026.
