Bad Boys 5: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence ready to return
“We always have a lot of fun making these films…”
Mike and Marcus are Bad Boys for life. While Ride or Die has been a great success in theaters for several days, there is little doubt that the police saga will continue. Even if the duo seemed to be talking about retirement in the last Bad Boys 4we can well imagine that Bad Boys 5 will be implemented in the coming months at Sony.
Especially since Will Smith And Martin Lawrence look like they're up for it: “As young actors like us, we’re going to have to do more stunts, that’s for sure,” laughs Smith, 55, in Entertainment Weekly. “This world and these characters are an absolute joy. In a movie theater with Mike and Marcus, it feels like home. So, as long as there is a reason to do them…”
Lawrence explains for his part: “We always have a lot of fun making these films and you have to give the fans what they want. Will and I are having a great time working together, so as long as the fans want it and the demand is there, I'll keep trying to give them what they want. For Bad Boys 5, we'll see. But I never say never. It will still have to make sense.” he tempers, on the same line as his comrade: “I never wanted to be one of those guys who makes sequels just because people are going to go see them.” ensures Will Smith. “I want to do the sequel because there's something to say and the characters are in a place that they're in that can be interesting to explore and fun to watch. Is there anything that can happen in the lives of these characters that is worth bringing people back to the cinema With? Bad Boys 4the answer is a resounding yes.”
And for Bad Boys 5 ? For the moment, no project has been officially launched and Ride or Die does not open any avenues towards a sequel. There are no major cliffhangers or post-credits scenes.
The saga Bad Boys has already grossed more than $400 million in three films, pending scores from Bad Boys 4already at more than 100 million after a few days.
