Deadpool changes costume for Avengers: Doomsday

Ryan Reynolds was invited to the presentation of the Marvel blockbuster at San Diego Comic-Con. A surprise appearance that confirms his presence in the film?

Ryan Reynolds likes surprises.

As Kevin Feige answered questions from the Comic-Con audience last night, with the cast ofAvengers: Doomsdaya mysterious Deadpool dressed in an all-denim suit walked up to the microphone. The president of Marvel Studios had invited “the person with the swords” to ask a question. The masked visitor then revealed that he already had a microphone… before his voice betrayed his identity: it was indeed Ryan Reynolds.

The actor sported a brand new Deadpool costume, completely covered in denim. A few hours later, he confirmed on Instagram that he was indeed under the mask, sharing several photos of this unusual outfit accompanied by a simple nickname: “Jeanpool“.

Still in the shoes of the Disert Mercenary, Reynolds took the opportunity to joke with the Marvel teams. In particular, he asked if someone could finally explain to him why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverinebefore maliciously launching: “By the way… when was the filming of Avengers: Doomsday ?”

A way of playing with the rumors surrounding his return to the MCU.

If Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and the other stars of the film were present on stage to present the new images ofAvengers: DoomsdayMarvel Studios has still not officially confirmed the presence of Deadpool in the casting.

However, the actor has been announced for several months among the characters likely to appear in the film. During the Toronto Festival last September, he kept the mystery alive: “I haven’t set foot on the set of Doomsday. But… that’s about all I’ll say on the subject.”

One thing, however, seems certain: Ryan Reynolds should find his antihero in a fourth film Dead Pool is reportedly already in development, although Marvel has yet to release any official details.

With or without him, Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 16 in France.
