Coyote vs Acme: the resurrected film unveils its trailer
John Cena and Will Forte star in the “movie Acme doesn’t want you to see.”
The cancellation of Coyote vs Acme by Warner Bros. for tax reasons caused a lot of noise in 2024. Except that, unlike Batgirlthe film from the Looney Tunes universe was saved by a distributor, Ketchup Entertainment, who will release it in theaters this summer and has just revealed its first trailer.
The video starts with a failed attempt by Vile Coyote to catch Bip-Bip, due to defective roller skates. It’s one time too many, he decides to sue the famous company that manufactures all the products in the world of Looney Tunes. Will Forte plays his lawyer, and John Cena plays Acme’s lawyer.
The trailer does not fail to attack Warner Bros., via an asterisk describing the studio as an Acme property, while the film is presented as “the one Acme doesn’t want you to see”.
Combining animation and live action, in the tradition of Who wants Roger Rabbit’s skin?, Coyote vs Acme will also feature Porky Pig, Tweety, Daffy Duck, Charlie the Rooster and Bugs Bunny. It will be released in France on August 26, 2026.
