As a divorced botany teacher, the ex-star of Friends will see a dark mystery from his past resurface.
One year later the upheaval of Goosebumpsreimagined as a series for teenagers, more horrific than the novels of RL Stine and the episodes broadcast in the 1990s, Rob Letterman (already behind the 2005 film with Jack Black) and Nicholas Stoller (Without Sarah nothing works, Bros…) are concocting season 2. Subtitled The Vanishing (The Disappearance) and divided into 8 episodes, it will follow a completely new cast. Exit Justin Long and his accomplices, welcome to David Schwimmerthe eternal Ross of FriendsAna Ortiz (Ugly Betty), and lots of young actors who are still unknown.
The first plays Anthony, divorced father of two teenagers, Devin (Sam McCarthy) and Cece (Jayden Bartels), a botanist who must return to his childhood home. Studying all kinds of plants, he is aware of the danger of his research, so when his children join him for the summer, he forbids them from going down to his laboratory in the basement.
An idea mainly inspired by Basement prohibitedone of the most famous novels in the saga Goosebumpswhich will be, as for the first season, mixed with other intrigues: The Haunted Car, Monster Blood, The Girl Who Cried at the Monster, The camp of fear…
Soon after its teaser “a la Venom“responsible for giving in passing the broadcast date of this season 2 (from January 10, 2025 and not for Halloween), the trailer reveals a little more the issues of this season 2 which will be broadcast on Disney +, still not recommended for under 14 years old.
