After having directed them in Northern tankCédric Jimenez finds Gilles Lellouche and Adèle Exarchopoulos in Dog 51a dystopian thriller adapted to the eponymous novel by Laurent Gaudé. They form a duo of cops responsible for elucidating the death of the creator of Alma, an artificial intelligence which revolutionized the work of the police.
Between The sons of man And Blade RunnerJimenez imagines a chaotic world and a Paris where social classes are literally separated. Cop in zone 3, Lellouche is forced to collaborate with an investigator in zone 2 (Exarchopoulos). But the latter seems to hide something, while the head of a rebellious organization (Louis Garrel) offers them his collaboration.
Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Romain Duris, Artus, Lala & Ce, Stéphane Bak and Thomas Bangalter (ex-Daft Punk) complete the casting of dog 51, which will be released in the cinema on October 15, 2025. In parallel, Cédric Jimenez is working on a biopic by Johnny Hallyday with Raphaël Quenard, whose preparation for us.
