Donald Trump hates South Park: ‘He can’t stand satire’
The American President is regularly ridiculed in recent episodes of the animated series… and that doesn’t make him laugh.
He had a child with Satan!
South Park is not one to do things by half measures. And the latest episodes – to be seen in France on Paramount + and via MyCanal – have pushed the cursors on Donald Trump. If the White House has sometimes reacted (negatively obviously), it has remained rather discreet on the subject.
But in a recent episode of the “Daily Beast Podcast,” former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci revealed what the President really thought of the show:
“He and his team hate satire…Trump doesn’t find it funny at all! Trust me.”
Scaramucci – now opposed to the tenant of the Oval Office – argues that if Trump has often attacked late shows or the media, his silence on South Park can be explained:
“His attitude is to attack the news. The news shows. If ’60 Minutes’ rolls the carpet on him and we cut off the left-wing journalists who attack him, that’s fine. And if one or two buffoons make animated videos of him and Vance in bed — which was really funny by the way — he doesn’t see that as a political problem.”
But obviously, he doesn’t enjoy it much either.
