Ethan Hawke takes out the guns in his new black series: trailer
The Lowdown will follow a citizen journalist from Tulsa, whose obsession with the truth always attracts him in trouble …
While waiting to find Ethan Hawke, in Blue Moon, the new film by Richard Linklater (in October), the actor returns to TV in The Lowdown, a black series in tune with the times, signed Sterlin Harjo, Dogs reservation creator.
The trailer plunges us directly into the universe of Lee Raybon (Hawke), a citizen journalist with a sulphurous reputation. “He writes for any publication ready to tolerate his conspiracy theories,” says the narrator. “It’s a toughness, raw of formwork.” But his last paper will immerse him in a much more dangerous affair than he imagined, jeopardizing his own security and that of his family.
In addition to Ethan Hawke (Before Sunrise, The Black Phone), we will find in the casting Tim Blake Nelson (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Incredible Hulk), Jeanne Tripplehorn (Basic Instinct, Big Love), Kyle Maclachlan and Keith David (The Thing, They Live).

The Lowdown will start on September 23 on FX. The series will be available in streaming on Hulu in the United States, and most likely on Disney+ in France (broadcaster to be confirmed).
