Euphoria: season 3 will be the last

Zendaya confirms and Sam Levinson himself admits to having “no plans” for a season 4.

It’s the beginning of the end for Euphoria. The first episode of season 3 is online, on HBO Max, this Monday in France.

And even if HBO has not made it official, the series will indeed end with this third act. It was Zendaya herself who released the information – half-heartedly, but without really leaving any doubt – during the Drew Barrymore Show. The star of the series was asked about the future of Euphoria and she assures:

“Yes, I think this is the end…”

In addition, she explains that this season 3 will bring “a form of conclusion” to the story of Rue and her friends.

For now, HBO is refusing to confirm. But in reality, few people in Hollywood imagine Euphoria going beyond that.

It must be said that the series created by Sam Levinson arrives after a long break of four years, and that its cast – from Sydney Sweeney to Jacob Elordi via Colman Domingo and of course Zendaya – is now everywhere in the cinema, doing a series of projects.

Moreover, Sam Levinson himself does not really open the possibility of a season 4 of Euphoria. If he does not officially speak of an end, he explains:

“I write each season as if it were the last,” before clarifying: “I have no plans for a season 4.”

Today, all his attention is focused on this season 3, still being finalized:

“I want to finish as best as possible. I’m still editing episodes 7 and 8. I’m adding the final touches. I want to deliver a fucking perfect season!”

In other words, Euphoria wants to exit through the front door.
