Evil Dead Burn: a first ultra-violent trailer
The sixth film in the horror saga will be one of the shocks of the summer.
After a trailer that terrified CinemaCon this weekend, Evil Dead Burn today unveils a first trailer in France. Posted online, the hyper-violent video shows a woman trying to escape a bloodbath, by crawling out of her living room, where creatures are carrying out a massacre…
It’s the Frenchman Sébastien Vaniček, director of Vermin (2023) which takes over from Lee Cronin, who directed the last opus, Evil Dead Rise (in 2023), resuming the saga initiated in the 1980s by Sam Raimi.
Evil Dead Burn will be the sixth in the franchise and the third feature since the 2013 reboot.
A few months ago, Sébastien Vaniček confided to First that it will be a “horror and survival film on a very short time frame, with a race against time aspect. Which does not prevent moments of relaxation: there is undoubtedly more humor than in the remake by Fede Alvarez (released in 2013), however we are getting closer on the horror side. It is perhaps the least bloody of evil Deadbut undoubtedly the most violent and brutal. Let’s say that I’m aiming more for the discomfort of the famous scene of the teeth on the sidewalk ofAmerican History than excessive hemoglobin.”
The screenplay is written by Vaniček and Florent Bernard (We, the Leroys) and in the cast, we will notably find Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan and Luciane Buchanan.
The exit ofEvil Dead Burn is now scheduled for July 8 in French theaters. Watch the trailer below:
