Filming ends for Alien series, official title announced
Noah Hawley is in post-production for several months but is already teasing Xenomorph fans.
So we will see soon Alien: Romulus at the cinema, the saga will follow immediately after a spin-off series, produced by the excellent Noah Hawley (series Fargo And Legion), for the FX channel and the Disney Plus platform in France.
Filming has officially wrapped up for a few days, as confirmed by the star of the show, Sydney Chandleron Instagram, as she returns to the US after spending six months in Thailand.
“We just finished production, so now I’m starting the long post-production process, dedicated to visual effects,” Hawley confirmed to Variety today.It’s going to be a big show. It’s fun to spend time on it. I’ve already seen four of the eight hours (8 episodes) that haven’t been edited yet. And I’m getting into the cinematic process of figuring out what we want to do with the show now. It’s one of my favorite parts of making a show..”
In the process, we learned that the series in question will be called Alien: Earth. It is the boss of FX, John Landgraff who reveals it and explains in the process not having planned to make a limited series: “We hope that the series will work and will come back. We have already asked Noah Hawley to write 2 more seasons.”
Alien: Earth will be a prequel story set on Earth, before the films starring Sigourney Weaver. Sydney Chandler will play the lead role, the meta-human Wendy, described as a woman with the body of an adult and the consciousness of a child. The cast will also include Timothy Olyphant And Alex Lawther.
Expected release in 2025, in France on Disney Plus.
