Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die: the first image of the new Gore Verbinski revealed

The director returns with a story of time travel and artificial intelligence, led by Sam Rockwell.

The big return of Gore Verbinski? The director to whom we owe the first three Pirates of the Caribbean, Rango, The Weather Man Or The Lone Rangermakes his comeback behind the camera after eight years of absence. His latest feature film, A Cure for Lifeactually dates back to 2017. Today, he returns with a project as intriguing as it is ambitious, entitled Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Dieof which Fandango has just revealed the first official image on X.

Starring Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson and Michael Peña, the film mixes action, comedy and science fiction. The plot follows a man from the future (Rockwell, therefore) who bursts into a Los Angeles diner in order to recruit disillusioned customers. Together, they will have to face an artificial intelligence threatening all of humanity.

In this first photo, we can see objects floating in the air (is this linked to time travel technology?), including a plastic figurine of a soldier. No release date has yet been announced in France, but Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die will be in American theaters at the end of next January. Let’s hope it will be the same for us…
