Gremlins 3? Zach Gilligan is very optimistic for the future!
“Why else would they make an animated series?”
He will be 60 years old in a few days… Zach Galligan is no longer a young leading man like when he exploded into Billy Peltzer in Gremlins. But 40 years later, he still hopes that the sequel will see the light of day. And he even says he is very optimistic for Gremlins 3.
For what ? Because Warner Bros. just produced Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, an animated series for its Max platform. And Galligan sees this as a sign.
“I believe it !” he assures in an interview with ScreenRant these days. “I can’t imagine Warner Bros. making two seasons – not one, but two seasons – of the animated series and spending a lot of money on it, without having an idea in mind and a specific goal. Usually, the goal for a huge studio like Warner Bros. Discovery, it’s to make a live-action film!”
“A live action movie will always allow you to make more money. So probably, at least I hope so, a third Gremlins movie seems possible! I don’t think it will be a reboot, because Chris Columbus rejected that idea. And he owns part of the rights.”
Exactly, Chris Columbus said in 2017 that the scenario was finished, without ever having materialized. For the moment, no plans to Gremlins 3 is officially in the works at Warner Bros.
