Jennifer Lopez sings and dances in the trailer of Kiss of the Spider Woman
A musical with Diego Luna adapted from the novel The Kiss of the Spider Woman of Manuel Puig.
After Atlas on Netflix and Unstopable On the video bonus, Jennifer Lopez Go make his return in Kiss of the Spider Womana musical expected in the fall.
Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate unveiled the very first trailer for the feature film inspired by the eponymous musical of Terrence McNally, John Kander and Fred EBB.
The film tells the story of two men locked up in a South American prison. Valentín (interpreted by Diego Luna), political prisoner, share her cell with Molina (Tonatiuh,, seen in Carry-on), a homosexual window decorator incarcerated for modesty attack.
According to the official synopsis: “The two men are tied as unlikely as it is deep, while Molina escapes mentally by telling Valentín the scenario of an old Hollywood musical featuring her favorite diva, Ingrid Luna.” This role of Glamor star of the big screen is embodied by Jennifer Lopezin a register that is both flamboyant and melancholy. Kiss of the Spider Woman is taken from the original novel of Manual Puigpublished in 1976, which had already been adapted in 1985 in a cult film with William Hurt.
This new version is signed Bill Condonfilmmaker experienced in the exercise of musical: we owe him in particular the scenario of Chicago (2002), as well as the realization of Dreamgirls (2006), Beauty and the beast (2017) and the two components of Twilight: Breaking Dawn.
Kiss of the Spider Woman will be released in October in the USA. No French date yet.
