The king of creaky humor is preparing his return with a Comic mini-series in sketchesinspired by the history of the United States. The project, still without title, will count Six 30 -minute episodes and will again bring David again with his longtime accomplice Jeff Schafferco-scriptwriter, director and historical producer of Curb. Hbo has not yet announced a broadcast date (it will be on HBO Max in France).

Larry David One of the main roles will also hold. He will find for the occasion certain actors of Curb Your Enthusiasm as well as surprise guests, whose identity has not yet been revealed. The official pitch already plays the absurd card: “The president and Mrs. Obama wanted to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America and pay tribute to the unique history of our nation … Then Larry David called.”

The ex-president Barack Obama himself commented on the project with humor: “I had to face some of the most complicated leaders in the world, and among the most insoluble geopolitical problems. But nothing prepared me to work with Larry David.” With his wife Michelle Obamait co -produced the series via their company Higher Ground Productions.

True to his style, Larry David also delivered a statement in its own way: “Once Curb Finished, I celebrated that with a three -day rave party in the foam. After a violent allergic reaction, I wanted to find a simple beekeeper life. But my bees mysteriously disappeared. With 12 seasons, 55 Emmy Awards nominations and cult status, Curb Your Enthusiasm is one of the most emblematic comedies of the 21ᵉ century.
