M6 will broadcast Mare of Easttown with Kate Winslet, unencrypted
One of the best HBO series of recent years.
It is without a doubt one of the strongest roles of the career of Kate Winslet. In 2021, the actress Titanic played policewoman Mare Sheehan in the HBO thriller Mare of Easttownwhich Première ranked series number 1 of the year and which even Steven Spielberg praised.
At the time broadcast in France by OCS, this dark drama will be entitled to an unencrypted broadcast, on M6. The opportunity for those who missed the series at the time to discover Mare of Easttown.
The broadcast will begin on Tuesday March 5 on M6. The series has 7 episodes of 60 minutes and should therefore be spread over several weeks.
Created by Brad Ingelsby, Mare of Easttown brings together Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Guy Pearce, Angourie Rice and Evan Peters in the cast.
M6 presents the series as follows: “In Easttown, a small Pennsylvania town, respected detective “Mare” Sheehan (Kate Winslet) investigates a sordid local murder while juggling her personal life that is quickly crumbling around her. She was a local hero in high school thanks to a memorable basketball shot. Today, scarred by personal tragedies, her life has taken an unexpected turn; she is the only investigator in a police squad who spends most of her time dealing with drug-related offenses. At the same time, she carries the weight of the loss of her son and tries to manage the responsibilities of a busy family, including her mother, her daughter and her grandson. To complicate matters further, her ex-husband lives a few doors away, alongside his new partner. Under increasing pressure, Mare has only one obsession: to bring justice in a city where everyone is a potential suspect.
