Netflix flows the waterfront: no season 2
The new series by Kevin Williamson will not have lasted long.
Netflix decided to torpedo his last long -term criminal series: The Waterfront will not have followed.
The streaming giant canceled the show just two months after the release of its first season. There will be no season 2.
Created by Kevin Williamson, The Waterfront followed the Buckley family, a Dynasty of Northern Caroline fishermen pushed towards illegal activities to save her business. In the casting: Holt McCallany and Maria Bello in the role of parents, supported by Melissa Benoist and Jack Weary as penniless children. We also found Rafael L. Silva, Humberly González, Danielle Campbell and Brady Hepner.
Launched on June 19 with eight episodes, the series started strong, squatting first place in the top 10 Netflix for more than a week, before being swept by Hurricane Squid Game, back for season 3.
Thought as an addictive criminal soap, in the vein of Yellowstone and Ozark or Bloodline, The Waterfront failed to hold the tide.
