A new "fresh and exotic" James Bond: new producers are at work

Oasis could sign James Bond song 26

The Gallagher brothers are in the starting blocks to compose the new theme of the saga.

What if the next James Bond theme sounded Britpop?

The rumor has been growing since December: Oasis would be at the top of Amazon MGM Studios’ wishlist to compose the title song for James Bond 26the first opus in the saga entirely controlled by the American studio.

The information, revealed by The Sun at the end of last year, quickly set social networks on fire. Questioned on X, Liam Gallagher did not try to calm things down:

“It’s going to happen, wait until you hear it, it’s the best James Bond song ever!” »he said, true to his sense of the phrase.

Yesterday, guest on the show talkSPORT Drivethe calm brother, Noel Gallagher tried to calm things down… without closing the door.

“Of course it would be an absolute honor.”he confided, before adding that the theme of a 007 film should be made by artists of His Majesty:

“I think this sort of thing should be done by Brits, not Americans.”

Be careful, however: Noel Gallagher then assured that Amazon had not yet officially approached them to James Bond 26. Which didn’t stop him from joking about his desire to play… a villain in the film.

The leader of Oasis has never hidden his attraction to the universe of 007. In 2008, he explained to NME having written several pieces with a very Bondian DNA. “I wrote down some potential themes. The songs weren’t very Bond-ish, so they’d have to be adapted. But listening to the last one again, I thought, ‘Damn, that would be an amazing Bond theme.'”

In recent years, the saga has entrusted its songs to Adele (Skyfall), Sam Smith (Spectrum), then Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell (Dying can wait). Three titles, three Oscars for best original song…

James Bond 26 will mark a new era for the franchise. Denis Villeneuve will direct the film from a screenplay by Steven Knight. No actor has yet been announced to reprise the role of 007.
