Pierre Niney plays Michel Gondry in the crazy trailer for the Book of Solutions
The new film from the director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind will be released in mid-September.
Michel Gondry makes his comeback with The Solution Book, a film that examines its own creative process through its alter ego, Marc (Pierre Niney), a whimsical director who has taken refuge in the Cévennes: disappointed by his last film, which is still unfinished, his production tries to regain control of the project to limit the costs, causing Marc to flee. He immures himself in the house of his aunt (François Lebrun) nestled in the countryside, accompanied by his editor (Blanche Gardin), his assistant (Frankie Wallach) and the handyman Carlos (Mourad Boudaoud).
The trailer has just been unveiled:
The Solution Book was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight at the last Cannes Film Festival. Both Michel Gondry’s most personal film (he talks about his bipolarity) and surely his funniest (Pierre Niney’s comic slaughter is crazy). The Solution Book will be released in theaters on September 13.
