Taylor Swift will reign again in the movies this weekend

Taylor Swift, support of choice for One Battle After Another for the Oscars!

The pop star loved Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film and is already campaigning for statuettes.

It’s an opinion that matters in America. Taylor Swift’s influence was not enough to make Kamala Harris win against Donald Trump in the last Presidential election (she had taken a stand for the Democratic candidate), but the singer remains the most popular star of the moment, as evidenced by the $50 million raised by her event doc Release Party of a Showgirlthis weekend.

Swift was a guest of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show this Monday to promote his 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirlreleased at the same time as his film in theaters. And during the show, Taylor Swift revealed that the last movie she saw in theaters was One Battle after another. And obviously, she loved the new very engaging feature film by Paul Thomas Anderson.

“One Battle after another, but my God, how good is it!”

The singer then pushed for the two actresses in the film to be nominated for the Oscars:

“Chase Infiniti and Teyana Taylor, how are they going to share the Oscar? Honestly! And Benicio (del Toro) was so funny. They were all so funny. Leo (DiCaprio) was hilarious. The fact that when you hear that theme (the music from the film), it makes you feel something different every time, it’s incredible.”

And Taylor Swift adds: “We’re so lucky to be alive at the same time as Paul Thomas Anderson. It’s crazy that he’s doing this. He’s writing, he’s directing, he exists on another level that we get to watch.”

A great helping hand for One Battle after anotherwhich has already grossed $102 million worldwide and stands out as a serious contender for the 2026 Oscars.
