The creator of Hill House reveals The Fall of the House of Usher, his new horror series for Netflix
A new series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
One after Midnight ClubTwo years later Midnight Sermonsand three years later completed Hill House, Mike Flanagan is back on Netflix with a new horror series, based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe: The Fall of House Usher.
The streamer announces a release for Thursday, October 12 with this Tweet which reveals a first preview and the first photos.
“The fearsome Roderick and Madeline Usher have made Fortunato Pharmaceutical an empire of abundance, privilege and power. But dark secrets arise when the heirs of the Usher dynasty begin to die at the hands of a mysterious woman from their past” tease the synopsis.
Bruce Greenwood (The Resident) And Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica) will play Roderick and Madeline.

The rest of the cast includes Mark Hamill, Carl Lumbly, Malcolm Goodwin, Paola Nuñez, as well as several actors who appeared in The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass and/or Midnight Club: Carla Gugino, Aya Furukawa, Ruth Codd, Sauriyan Sapkota, Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller, Samantha Sloyan, Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Igby Rigney, Robert Longstreet and Annabeth Gish.
The limited series will consist of eight episodes. Mike Flanagan and Michael Fimognari each directed four episodes. Flanagan wrote all the scripts.
This is the terrifying story of a doomed family.
