The creator of Parliament unveils his new series for Max, with Éric Elmosnino and Manu Payet

He is the creator of Parliament, Noé Debréwith his comrade Zoro Benjamin Charbitwho developed this adaptation of the book by Delphine Horvilleur “Living with our dead” (published in 2021). The series changes the title and will be called The Meaning of Things.
Elsa Guedjthe revelation of Funny (on Netflix), will play the leading female role, surrounded by Eric Elmosnino And Manu Payet. She will play “Léa, 28 years old, who decides to become one of the rare female rabbis in France and tries to find the answers to life’s small and big questions. Between sometimes improbable requests, cohabitation with a resolutely atheist father and a sentimental life under construction, Léa juggles between her role and her personal doubts. How can you be a guide for others when you yourself are in search of meaning?
Noémie Lvovsky, Solal Bouloudnine, Anouk Grinberg, Suzy Bemba and Lionel Dray complete the cast.
Navigating between comedy and drama, The meaning of things intends to ask universal questions around existence. As confirmed by the vice-president of Max France in the press release: “This series tenderly explores the hopes, desires and losses that mark our lives. In a tone that French fiction rarely offers, which navigates between laughter, sincere questions, and serious moments, it celebrates the importance of speaking and listening.”
