The funny comedy that Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt never made
The duo wanted to play a couple, stars of a TV show, adjusting their accounts live at the time of their divorce!
Sandra BullockAnd Brad Pitt twice shared the poster in 2022: adventure film The secret of the lost citythen Bullet trainto review this Monday evening on TMC. If they had little time together on the screen each time, the two stars obviously get along!
The actor also revealed during the promotion of David Leitch’s action blockbuster that they had almost team up much earlier for a joint film project. During a portrait published by the British version of VoguePitt details that they wanted to shoot a romantic comedy: “Sandy and I tried to develop this idea: we wanted to play a woman and her husband who team up as a successful tele-shopping sellers, but who decide to divorce. So, they hate each other and they can’t help but send spikes while they are live selling things. Well, it’s not further than that.”
The Lost City: Brad Pitt was convinced by Sandra Bullock and … her hairdresser
Brad Pitt does not specify at what period they tried to launch this project which vaguely recalls the tone of Mr. and Mrs Smith (They have both been famous since the 1990s, could it be a discussion of several years ago?), Or if they really offered it to a studio or a director. Knowing that they are both producers and often at the origins of their respective films – the company Fortis Films for her and plan B for him – we can assume that they have not gone further than this exchange of ideas. Both are so popular that they would certainly have had no trouble selling this project on their names!
Note that this anecdote is all the more fun as Brad spoke about it in full promotion … about a range of skin creams he participated in founding, named the estate. Saying impressed by the retraining of his ex-partner Gwyneth Paltrow, who launched GOOP, his brand of beauty/well-being products, he then explained that he would be unable to sell his own creams as a tele-shop host.. “Unless you do it in the form of a comedy”. This is what reminded him of this idea of a film that has never seen the light of day. It may not be too late?
