The return of Seinfeld? Julia Louis-Dreyfus is not aware
The actress responded to Jerry Seinfeld’s announcement: “I have no idea what he’s talking about!”
During one of his shows in Boston a few days ago, Jerry Seinfeld announced that his cult sitcom Seinfeld could make a comeback (via Variety), and specifies that it has something to do with the end of the series: “Something is going to happen that has to do with the ending. It hasn’t happened yet,” he declared mysteriously.
“What you imagined, Larry (David) and I also imagined. So you will see.”, he said again.
Beware of spoilers: at the end of the series, the main characters Jerry, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander) and Kramer (Michael Richards) are arrested and thrown in prison. The series was a huge success and Julia Louis-Dreyfus was nominated seven times for Emmy Awards for her role as Elaine, Jerry Seinfeld’s ex-girlfriend in the series. She finally won an award in 1996 in the best supporting actress category for Seinfeld.

In an interview for The Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus responds to the announcement of Seinfeld : “I saw this last night. (…) I have absolutely no idea what he’s talking about”, she declares. Jerry Seinfeld would he publicly mention the return of the cult series without notifying the main actors beforehand?
The abrupt end of the series did not please all fans, so the mystery remains around this declaration of Jerry Seinfeld. And the response of Julias Louis-Dreyfus sows even more confusion…
