Timothée Chalamet shows up on his bike at the premiere of A Perfect Stranger and gets fined
The actor was once again talked about during the promotion of the Bob Dylan biopic.
Timothée Chalamet caused a sensation at the premiere ofA complete strangerTuesday in London, arriving at the wheel of an… electric bike. The actor who plays Bob Dylan in the biopic directed by James Mangold actually rolled down the red carpet with his bicycle, before parking in front of the photographers and using his smartphone to visibly end his race.
But the star apparently broke the rules. This Wednesday, passing through Paris for the presentation of the film to the French public, he explained on the set of the show Daily why he had chosen this means of transport and confided that he had received a fine.

“There were lots of traffic jams and I was going faster on my bike, it happened like that. I wasn’t allowed to park there. So I got fined 65 pounds (around 77 euros, Editor’s note). It’s horrible because it was an ad for them!”
This wasn’t the first viral moment from the promoA complete stranger. Very invested in the project, for which he learned to sing, play the guitar and the harmonica, Chalamet literally put himself in the shoes of the folk icon, going so far as to reproduce some of his legendary looks on red carpets.

Bob Dylan has become an obsession for Chalamet, who is now knowledgeable about his career and in particular the period recounted in Mangold’s film (his rise in New York in the 1960s). By working on the character, he ended up challenging himself to sing himself in the biopic (see video below). A risk that he was ready to take, despite the reluctance of production, as he explained to Daily :
“I started preparing for this project in 2018, I had no level of guitar or harmonica, and I had 5 and a half years to prepare. It’s the role and the film for which I gave the most and which gave me the most. I learned how I want to live my life as an artist and as a person because of this man.”
“I wasn’t supposed to sing at first and that was a bit of a fight. In Hollywood, they want to protect their production days and you can lose 10 or 12 hours if you have an actor who insists on singing the songs. I I was confident in my level and I started to really know these songs, it became my life James Mangold was on my side but the music production team…”
A complete stranger comes out in France on January 29.
